Firstly I have no skin in the game but I'm seeing this happen all to many times so I need to show everyone something.
I've been shopping around for VPS Cloud and Dedicated hosting platforms for a while. I'm forever bombarded with This is the Best hosting company and its the cheapest. Well until you look at the fine print. That cheap price is usually tied to a 2 or 3 year agreement where you end up paying double at renewal. It's crazy.
So I'm going to show you the benefits of hosting in South Africa.
It's about 17 ZAR to 1 US dollar. The dollar is like super power money. You earn dollars you can literally live like a king. Which brings me to this.
I have my servers hosted at a company called Cloud.co.za.
I've attached their price list for the size you're getting.
2 cores, 4gb RAM, 80GB HDD and unlimited bandwidth (it really is unlimited because I must've reinstalled mine about 50 times in a space of a month.
R 100 OR 100 ZAR is worth about 5.60 USD. No contract. No price increase after a year. What you pay now is what you pay next month is what you pay in 2 years.
The one you should be looking at is the cloud because for about $12 you get a 4 core 8GB RAM 160GB HDD and unlimited bandwidth. You get to choose between 20 operating systems in a virtual machine form, so vmdk or an ISO. To switch off a server and reinstall literally takes me under let's say 5 mins. It's actually faster I still get impatient so I take a break but it quick. I should really drop my bandwidth use on that server into this chat. Think was at about 4.2 Terabytes for the first month. Didn't hear a peep our of the company.
I host my servers now between them and their sister company Host Africa because cloud.co.za doesn't do shared hosting and sometimes you just want to make software upgrades someone else's problem. I've never had any issues with them. When you look at these prices thing 17 ZAR to 1 dollar. Divide it by 17 and remember it's stays that price.
Link is https://www.cloud.co.za just go have a look and read the fine print. There's no catch
