PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Card integration works through the direct method using the PayPal Checkout Advanced API. The extension makes it possible for the customers to checkout using their debit & credit cards securely without leaving your online store. As the payment gateway processes the card data and payments in the Magento environment itself, it requires the SAQ A-EP level of PCI compliance.

The admin can configure the country-specific settings from the backend and allow customers from only specific countries to use the PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Card payment method.
Once the payment method is configured from the backend and the customers choose to pay using the PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Card payment method, they need to enter the credit card details on the payment page to complete the payment without leaving the site.
The customer needs to enter the card details and click on "Place Order" to complete the payment.
After a successful transaction, the customers can find the complete payment details of the orders paid through the PayPal ACDC payment method in their 'My Orders' section.
The admin can also find the complete payment details of the orders paid through the PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Card payment method in the Sales > Orders > Order View grid in the backend.
The admin can also open invoice, generate credit memos and process online refunds from the backend for the orders paid using the PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Card method.
How Does The Extension Work?
The admin needs to enable the extension, enter a custom title, choose to show or hide the logo, set either of the actions to process payment and enable the sandbox mode, if required. The admin needs to enter the client ID and Secret key to integrate the PayPal merchant account. The admin needs to set the default status for the new orders, enable or disable the debug mode, enter additional information, set the minimum and maximum order total to allow the customers to use the payment method. The admin needs to enter the sort orders for the payment method and choose the applicable countries using the PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Card payment method.
Once the payment method is configured from the backend and the customers choose to pay using the PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Card payment method, they can complete the payment by entering the credit card information without leaving the site.
After a successful transaction, the customers can find complete details about the payment from the "My Orders" section. The admin can find the complete payment details in Sales > Orders > Order view grid in the backend. The admins can also generate credit memos and issue refunds for the orders paid using this payment gateway from the backend.
Security and PCI Compliance:
We are often asked about PCI compliance. PCI compliance is a complex and multifaceted issue, covering every aspect of your business. We can't guarantee that your business is PCI-compliant. That depends on your server, passwords, business processes, regular security scans, other payment methods, and a lot more. What we can tell you is that this extension will not prevent you from being PCI compliant. We don't log confidential cardholder data or do anything else that would bring you under scrutiny.
Once the customers add products to the cart and proceed to pay using the PayPal Advanced Credit and Debit Card payment method, they are asked to add card details on-site and complete the payment. The customers' card details are stored on your website server using encryption to ensure secure payments. Merchants are required to be PCI Data Security Standard compliant before using the PayPal ACDC payment method. The whole process uses tokenization to communicate card data with the payment gateway, it assures card data and payment security. The customer data is entered in Magento 2 and hence, the integration of the payment gateway with the Magento 2 store meets the SAQ A-EP level of PCI compliance.
