In the past, his backend design was unreasonable, but now it's much better
Joomla has a really high learning curve. Which is why more people probably use WordPress. Unfortunately Joomla's upgrades over the years haven't exactly been the smoothest which hasn't helped. I'm sure if you have any questions people here would be more than willing to try and help you out.
